August 16, 20205 yr I would like to start this thread for new and returning pilots. It will be a collection of resources on flying and procedures for real world like navigation. If you have a good resource please feel free to share it and I will add it to the master list. We are bound to get some new blood to these forums so lets make them feel welcome and have a centralized location for information! August 16, 20205 yr As a new flight sim enthusiast, this is a great idea. And I already discovered Doofer911’s content and it’s great. Have any other YouTubers got content on proper use of autopilot, reading plates, ATC and ILS approach best practices, etc?
August 16, 20205 yr Of course I like to add this series on Flight Sim Navigation here at AVSim. This is the link to the Flight Sim Navigation website / blog. There's a Useful Links page there pointing to useful internet resources a.o. free maps and navigation software. And there's the YouTube channel with the videos. Always have fun --0-- Flight Sim Navigation

August 17, 20205 yr Highly recommend anything from Rod Machado. I have met him in person during safety seminar . Very knowledgeable guy! Always at the edge of technology and science! And as everyone know very funny person who energizes serious business with laughs. My second choice would be Martha and John King. Very nice knowledgeable and humble folks. I enjoyed their seminar as well! Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). August 17, 20205 yr Author @n4gix Thanks for the PIN! However, I am unable to edit the post now, lol. Would you or another mod be able to add the resources to the main post for ease of finding information?
August 17, 20205 yr Moderator Members have only a limited amount of time to edit their posts. Either I or another mod can copy/paste the new resources into the main post. At some point in the near future, probably this thread will be archived in the new "Tips and Tricks" forum (which will be a read-only forum). Fr.
