difference between these two monitors

Featured Replies

The more expensive one just came out in December while the cheaper one came out 2 years prior.  I suspect the newer one to be better but not sure $200 better.  I can't answer as for Youtube, Netflix, etc. as I've never used an ultrawide monitor.  Guess I'm not really helping much.  Hopefully someone who has experience with ultrawide monitors can better advise.

can I watch youtube and netflix on both of these?

Sure can. They adapt to the aspect ratio which virtually always means you have black bars down the side of the screen. It's never bothered me (I run a super ultrawide at 32:9) but it drives some people nuts (in games, in particular).

Both too expensive. You cant have as good for less, if not better.

They seem very similar possible newer versions of same model.

Note that neither are HDR capable.

I am told g sync is important. also told IPS is much better.

thanks again for your replies

Me too am looking for a new monitor, a 34". I don't know where you live, but here in France, I think the Huawei 34" is better and less expensive. If not, try the Asus monitors, their are top, execpt the Tuff one. But perhaps a little bit expensive

- IPS has better colour calibration for photoshop and graphic design and has better viewing angles when looking from the side

- VA has far better contrast

You are looking at curved screens so viewing angle is not relevant.

Go IPS if you do graphic design work otherwise VA.

True GSync is indeed better than Freesync - but you do pay for it

On the black bars

I currently have a DELL 0315W (3440 x 1440, 60 hz) and is connected to a Mac book pro. I dont see black bars down the line when I watch youtube inside chrome.

Is this a windows issue? or is this somehow related to 3080 ti?

thanks in advance
