No Audio in PBE & RAASPro

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have no audio from PBE and RAASPro when I perform the Audio Test in either program. I tried all options for the audio device, but can not hear any sound. I do hear all the aircraft sounds from the FBW A320.

The slider for the Audio Volume is all the way to the right ( I assume it's max ).

I am starting both programs with the exe.xml, but that should not affect the Audio Test and Audio.

Thanks for help

I looked at your order history and you've had the programs for over month.

Did this just happen out of the blue?

If so, I can only guess some kind of audio driver update has caused an issue.

Audio problems with the MSFS products are generally non-existent.  We're using a totally different system from FSX/P3D.

Hi Bryan,

Yes it happened out of the blue and it worked before (before what I don't know). There was a NVIDIA graphic driver update and I am not sure if it occurred after that?

Any ideas what to check?

Thanks for help

Try uninstalling your audio driver.

Re-start Windows.

Windows will install a fresh generic driver.

But first check your audio settings with your current driver...  maybe a setting got changed somewhere with your Nvidia update.

Hi Bryan,

I still have no luck with the audio in PBE and RAASPro. I did the following:

1) Uninstall the "Realtech Audio Driver" via the device manager>sound setting; restarted the PC and checked, I have now "High Definition Audio Device" driver.

2) Checked "Sound>Playback>Speakers(default device)>properties>Advanced> TEST = worked fine;

3) Uninstalled & Re-Installed PBE & RAASPro = same issue;

Again, all aircraft sounds are audible

Anything else you can think of?

Thanks for help

Hey Juergen,

Question, but if you launch the programs without exe.xml (directly double-clicking) on them you still have audio?

Hi Miguel & Bryan,

Both programs do have Audio when I start them by double clicking (not with exe.xml)!

Weird, any ideas?

Thanks again

What version of RAAS are you using?

Send me a picture of the Product Manager - RAAS section.  It will show the installed version #.

You have the latest version, which is good.

It's odd that you have the start PBE directly from the Desktop in order to get audio.

Are you running everything with Admin rights?

Bryan,

Yes everything is with Admin rights.

The exe.xml just activates both programs via it's .exe files. So I don't know what the difference would be to double clicking. If we can't find it, I certainly can live with it.

Thanks

Bryan,

Maybe when I start the programs via their .exe files with the exe.xml they are not starting with Admin rights. However if I check the properties of the FS2CrewR RAASPro MSFS.exe > Compatibility it shows "Run this Program as an Administrator".

So I am out of ideas

Thanks for help

Please try this as a test:

Make a backup up copy of your EXE.xml

Delete your EXE.xml

Re-install FS2Crew.  A fresh new EXE.xml will be created.

Let us know what happens then.

Bryan,

With this exe.xml I need to start the programs either by double clicking or via the insim "start application". Both times I have Audio working:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="SimConnect" version="1,0">
    <Descr>Auto launch external applications on MSFS start</Descr>
    <Filename>exe.xml</Filename>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <Launch.Addon>
        <Name>AFCBridge</Name>
        <Disabled>False</Disabled>
        <Path>C:\Users\juerg\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\community\AFC_Bridge\bin\AFC_Bridge.exe</Path>
    </Launch.Addon>
    <Launch.Addon>
        <Name>FS2Crew Command Center</Name>
        <Disabled>False</Disabled>
        <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\FS2Crew Command Center\FS2CrewCommandCenter.exe</Path>
        <CommandLine></CommandLine>
    </Launch.Addon>
    <Launch.Addon>
        <Name>FSUIPC7 MSFS</Name>
        <Disabled>False</Disabled>

        <CommandLine></CommandLine>
    </Launch.Addon>
    <Launch.Addon>
        <Name>Flight Tracker MSFS</Name>
        <Disabled>False</Disabled>
        <Path>F:\Downloads MSFS2020\FSXTracker\fsxtracker\FlightTracker.exe</Path>
        <CommandLine></CommandLine>
    </Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>

With this exe_1.xml if I run the simulator it starts both programs (RAAS & PBE) but no Audio:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="SimConnect" version="1,0">
    <Descr>Auto launch external applications on MSFS start</Descr>
    <Filename>exe.xml</Filename>

        <Disabled>False</Disabled>
        <Path>C:\Users\juerg\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\community\AFC_Bridge\bin\AFC_Bridge.exe</Path>
    </Launch.Addon>
    <Launch.Addon>
        <Name>FS2Crew Command Center</Name>
        <Disabled>False</Disabled>
        <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\FS2Crew Command Center\FS2CrewCommandCenter.exe</Path>
        <CommandLine></CommandLine>
    </Launch.Addon>
    <Launch.Addon>
        <Name>FS2Crew RAAS Pro</Name>
        <Disabled>False</Disabled>
        <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\FS2Crew FS2Crew RAAS Professional\FS2CrewRAAS Pro MSFS.exe</Path>
        <CommandLine></CommandLine>
    </Launch.Addon>
    <Launch.Addon>
        <Name>FS2Crew PBE MSFS</Name>
        <Disabled>False</Disabled>
        <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\Pushback Express MSFS\Pushback Express_x64.exe</Path>
        <CommandLine></CommandLine>
    </Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>

So what would you like me to do?

Again thanks for help on a Sunday!!!!!!
