March 5, 20224 yr This is great, I’ve been holding off on this due to limitations pre-su8 and was considering another route for head tracking, but since this is now implemented in msfs, plus a 15% discount, I’m sold!! March 10, 20224 yr well after reading this I decided to contact them & ask if it could work with a curved monitor - I have the Samsung G9 49" & wanted to know mainly if it could be bent to fit with the curvature - that was last night after reading this post. I'll now share with you the reply that I recieved this morning - just a fabulous reply Hi, Thanks for contacting us. Our eye tracker 5 cannot be bent. The maximum screen size supported with our eye tracker 5 is 27" for 16:9 and 30" for 21:9, we unfortunately could not guarantee the good performance if you are using a larger screen than supported. Using an eye tracker on a larger screen than recommended So basically your 49" screen size is out of range. Even though it's not recommended, it would be OK with a larger screen for gaming. The Tobii Eye Tracking software will automatically adjust to the maximum supported screen size of 27"/30". But please keep in mind that the eye tracking area will then be centered up to the maximum supported area and we, therefore, cannot guarantee good accuracy performance if you're using a bigger screen than recommended. March 10, 20224 yr I'm running it perfectly on a 34" Ultrawide and I have seen others with larger screens report it work fine. This is more to do with tracking your eyes than the head movement anyway as the further to the side you turn your head, the harder it is to determine exactly where your eyes are focusing on. It will still work, just perhaps not as accurately as a smaller screen for eye tracking. Your head stays roughly in the same location regardless of the size of your screen so there is no impact on head tracking. Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB, Win 11. MSFS2020.
