Help on reinstalling MSFS

Thanks for the tip.

I don´t want to update MSFS but rather I do want to reinstall it. And this has to be done with MSStore/Xbox apps. When I click to install MSFS I get error code 0x80070424 and nothing is downloaded.

I would try the same approach.  Might not work but it certainly does the trick for me with updates.

They've changed some things with reinstall (I just did one yesterday and it is very different from the past).  In the Xbox app, go to settings and general and see where it is trying to install by default.  My install changed to C:\XboxGames\Microsoft Flight Simulator\  Until I went into the settings, it was just trying to install to C:\ and didn't seem to work. Make sure that folder exists once it is set properly.

Also make sure all old files are deleted out.

Yes, I am aware of that...my default is set to F:\Games (that exists...). Thanks!

Looks like a non MSFS issue due to missing updates / service not registered issue.  Have you considered WIN 11?

To reinstall the sim go down to magnify glass on taskbar type add remove and uninstall The FS app then open the MSstore goto library and install from there (Fresh install use click app and use the 2 arrow down top right method). if it doesnt try hitting update till it does. Uninstall is handled not through xbox or msstore but add remove.

That's a shame.  Hope you sort it soon.
