Also, what does Tesselation actually do?  LOL  I can't see a visual difference so have it set to off.  

Seems the Tesselation question has not been answered really.  I, too, want to know what Tesselation does...and what would be the proper setting for it in P3dv5.

Higher values of Tessellation will show more detailed terrain by filling in with more facets. For example, if you pause a flight with a good nearby view of the mountains and take screenshots with max and min tessellation you can compare them and you should see more jaggedness to mountains.

Thanks Steve, any insight into performance impact?  Is that hitting GPU or CPU?  So it's not changing the Mesh resolution just adding more fidelity?  If there is no performance hit great, if it's even a couple of FPS it's not worth it to me 😉  

I'll have to test on my own machine and see what happens.

GPU mainly, you might see up to 10% more GPU from Low to Ultra, depends on other terrain factors. No major impact on framerate on recent GPUs. Yes just adds fidelity.

Tessellation breaks up basic shape geometry into smaller geometric elements (performed on a mesh typically).

WOW thanks Steve my cpu is at 46-48 and gpu 45-46 with all sliders maxed ht off perfect
