Extremely Disappointed and Fed Up!

Featured Replies

I have had this product since release and I have never struggled with any add on application as much as I have with this.

I use voice recognition with various other games and it works very well however, with this product simple commands and replies are not understood most of the time resulting in the thing reverting to it's pre flight phase which in turn then causes issues for the rest of the flight. Even selecting a 'phase' of flight does not work as there is no option to select between 'after take off' and 'decent, 10,000ft'. I have used open mic and push to talk via a button. No change.

Reinstalls, tweaking settings and windows options don't work either. Essentially, it does not function on my machine.

Extremely pi**ed off!

Have you gone through the training of the Microsoft voice recognition system.

I have a lot of experience with FS2Crew voice products, I think I have all of them for P3D.  With the FBW version in MSFS, I have also notice the issue of the FO jumping to another point in the process and starting a new checklist usually one way before the current stage.  I think this product really needs a way to manually jump to the right point to continue. Another problem I notice is that the guide sometimes shows the next step/voice command but then it goes away and you may not know what to say next.  This can leave you stuck.

Having said this, I have done numerous flights where everything works perfectly well.  I find though it is not a fool proof as the P3D version, probably due to limitations of MSFS and how the program interacts with the sim and aircraft.

Hi Mark,

I have indeed. Did this some time ago for other games I own where voice recognition was needed.

I have not owned any FS2Crew product before as I just managed myself within P3D but thought I would give it a go for MSFS. Can't say I'll be buying another one of their products. There is certainly some basics which need addressing. The forum clearly shows this. It's just shame no one is listening.

You can try downloading my Captains only cheat sheet from the Avsim library. If you follow that checklist and flow it may help especially if you are missing steps. It was made for P3D.

It could also depends on what language it detects and also depends on the training, the only way to confirm it's picking the commands is by looking at the recognized phrase which is a green label that displays the moment you speak

Cheers,

You've had the program for 7 months...  why didn't you ask for help right away rather than waiting 7 months?

This is the help page for Voice Control:

https://fs2crew.com/fs2crew-voice-control-setup-help/

But I don't think this is your issue.

Please ensure you're using the "ASSIST" panels.  They tell you what to to say and when more or less.

Also, if you're new to FS2Crew, I strongly suggest starting with Button Control to get your head around the system.

I trust you've read the button control tutorial.

Once you've got the concept down, then move into Voice Control.
