April 3, 20224 yr The images are in the order, listed below. This nice-looking (bright and blue) Air Antilles C47 livery is from 1974. Air Antilles was founded in 1954 under the name of Antilles Air Service and was known so until 1964. It operated regular and charter services in the French West Indies. Who doesn't like to see one (more) image of the "Spit"... (please also see painter's credit, below) ...? The legendary plane was produced in mind-boggling variations (Mk I -> Mk 24). Here is an image of Mark IX of the Free French Air Force. The Spitfire Mk IX was originally developed as a stopgap measure as a response to the appearance of (another legend) Focke-Wulf FW 190A. The first response was actually the Mk VIII, but that involved significant redesign of the basic Spitfire, and would take time to produce in the numbers required, so, the Mark 9 urgently filled the bill, and it filled it well...! [Note: BTW, it's always a pleasure to (fortuitously) run into a painter's work here...🙂...I read in the Readme, "Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by RealAir..."...] This Boeing 727-264F Advance (Winglets) belong to the Magnific Policia Federal Preventiva (the Federal Preventive Police of Mexico). I'd earlier explored, here, the Passenger-to-Freighter conversions of the B757 (e.g. -PF/-PCF). Here is the equivalent from Airbus for the A321. This is an image of the Lufthansa Cargo Airbus A321-211(P2F). A321 is closest to the B757 in terms of a (more modern) replacement. Just as the A321LR/A321XLR are lately coming close as replacements for the B757 (Passenger) variants, the A321P2F is positioned to replace the 757 Freighters. The A321P2F has entered service in 2020, while the A320P2F prototype induction is scheduled for the beginning of 2021. This is similar to the Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) program. Seaboard World Airlines was an international (U.S.) all-cargo airline based on the grounds of John F. Kennedy. This is a repaint of Seaboard form 1974 till the merger with Flying Tiger Line in 1980. The Seaboard airline managed to get two world records with their 747s in the 1970s. On Jan. 26, 1975, a Seaboard 747 carried a payload of 253,800 pounds from New York to London, which was the largest weight ever lifted off the ground in aviation history, at the time. Then, on November 30, 1976, Seaboard World 747-245F N702SW set a world speed record from New York to Frankfurt in 5 hr. 33 min. Enjoy...!! Edited April 3, 20224 yr by P_7878
