Hi,

I wanted to delete ENVSHADE.

However, as soon as I uninstall ENVSHADE, ENVDIR no longer starts.

I first did ENVDIR , Restore and Disabled, after that I uninstalled ENSHADE.

After that, ENVDIR doesn't start anymore.. only when I start ENVSHADE..

how can I solve the problem and best get rid of ENVSHADE

Go to the root directory of your TOGA . In my case it is C:\Users\my name\AppData\Local\Toga projects\Envdir\Resource.

In the Resource folder you should see Troubleshooting.bat.

Run it and that should get Envdir started again. However this may be only a temporary solution. So, I suggest you uninstall and reinstall the base program. As a fall back, I suggest you keep access to Troubleshoting.bat on your desktop, start or task bar so you can get to it conveniently when needed again. Good luck.

I've already tried that with the Troubleshooting.bat.

But it doesn't help. It also shows me that the files were not found.

When I uninstall and reinstall Basis Program it still doesn't start..

I noticed as soon as ENVSOUND , ENVTEX or ENVSHADE was uninstalled.. the basic program no longer starts..

I would like to cleanly uninstall ENVSHADE

I am not certain about this, but I think if you clear your shaders in P3D, that will take away the Envshaders and you will be back to basics.

I've given up on EnvShade, had a few issues and posted in their forum for assistance and they just say they don't support Windows 11! After removing it I'm not sure I really notice the difference.

I am very dissapointed in the TOGA forum, which has become a magnet for spam ads, and very little substantial advice. I read on the TOGA FB page that Maxime has been busy with personal issues. That might explain why there has been nothing but vaporware about a supposed new version which would give more flexibility and options.

As for telling the difference, to be honest, except for ENVTEX, I am not sure I can tell much difference from one ENVSHADE setting to another. Still, I am satisfied with my current settings. As for Windows 11, one might think TOGA would announce to prospective users that it is not compatible.

Hi.  Do these TOGA product problems also apply to P3Dv4.5HF3 or just P3Dv5x?  Getting ready to install, but won't if it means problems for me.

Actually no. You will need to reinstall the client to restore LM's shaders in the shadersHLSL folder. Shouldn't take more than a minute or two.  I would delete the contents of that folder before doing the reinstall.
