May 6, 20224 yr Anyone using the H145 helo with TDS GTNxi? I'm on the fence with this thing - on one hand it's pretty fast for a helo and it looks very detailed in the cockpit. It's also pretty steep of a price - but I also know very little about it. And most importantly - how well is it integrated with the GTN xi from TDS? Also is there an autopilot or hover hold of sorts? For context I really enjoy the freeware R44 helicopter - it's so beautifully done - using Airland FS as well. Does AFS work with the 145? Thanks for opinions! I wouldn't mind a pic or two as well of the cockpit with TDS GTNs. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
May 6, 20224 yr I have that combo and it is great. Cannot send pictures currently but it works just as you would expect. The texture and system modeling of the H145 is very, very good and it offers an unique experience that is totally worth it imho. There is indeed an autopilot system, so, after you get used to it, this helo behaves pretty much like a plane during cruise, with full speed, lateral and vertical control. May 6, 20224 yr I tested the H135 first. Then later purchased the H145. Using the the autopilot and the PMS750 GTN v2.1.34 (free version) without problems. Still learning manual flight hovering in various weather conditions. Edited May 6, 20224 yr by vonmar added text Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
May 6, 20224 yr Still learning the 145, but it's a ton of fun and looks great. Bought the expansion pack as well. It's not cheap for the two modules, but it's high-quality through and through. My big thing is having a fantastic looking cockpit; none of that crappy texturing you see on some modules. The 145 does not disappoint. It's got serious eye candy. Day off tomorrow, might get more into the systems. ___________________________I'm just flying for the fun of it.
