May 15, 20224 yr I was doing flight planning in the game and getting it to match my Simbrief plan today and was looking for NAVAIDS and in the past I have been able to search for those NAVAIDS in the search box. Well now when I search in the Search box all I get is airports. Can anyone confirm or reject that this is happening to them, I have been troubleshooting for about an hour but I don't want to get too deep into the weeds if this was a SU 9 issue. Also, can you check to see if Guadalajara airport has any Arrivals or Departures or runways available? It only shows direct for me and automatic with no runway numbers. AS you can see I am seaching for SEBON but it dose not find it even though it is clearly the transition point out of the SEBO2A departure. I do have Navigraph but have attempted a uninstall re-install of the client and the AIRAC several times with no fix noted. I have MAGMEX Guadalajara but removing it made no difference. The PMGD 737-700 FMC seems to work fine but I like to sync the flight plans so ATC works as correctly as it can. I have had no problem with this in the past. I don't believe I have planned a flight since the last update, that's why I want to know if anyone else is having this issue or can test it for me.

May 16, 20224 yr I've tried with Navigraph and without and it appears the map screen search doesn't work for navaids. On the map screen down at the bottom of the window if you click "More", "Open Filters" and scroll down you can turn on "Navaids" and "Fix and RNAV Position Report" and then you can see navaids and RNAV fixes, but that doesn't make them searchable. I didn't know it was possible to search for navaids and never tried before today. As far as the problem of only seeing "direct" when selecting an airport, that happens when the Navigraph entries are positioned incorrectly in Content.xml. Try opening MSFS and get to the home screen, then close MSFS, then open Navigraph Navdata Center, and leave it open then launch MSFS and see if you are able to select a runway, gate, or parking spot. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB

So that ATC with AIG traffic calls out the right waypoints and it matches what is in the FMC. You can get them to match 100% quite often as long as the MSFS FP is exactly the same as the simbrief one. I don't do VATSIM so I want some ATC. 17 hours ago, somiller said: I've tried with Navigraph and without and it appears the map screen search doesn't work for navaids. Ok, thanks for confirming, that sucks, it used to work, you could search any Naviads, VOR, ILS, waypoints, fixes, now all you can search is airports. Luckily, I know about where the waypoints are from the sim brief map. I was able to complete this flight and get everything synced up. The issue was the MMGL scenery needed to be updated.

But there is still no reason to fiddle around with the inbuilt flightplanner. Simbrief creates the MSFS flightplans itself. You just have to export them as a .pln file and load them as a flight.
May 16, 20224 yr I just import from simbrief to MSFS flight menu. No fiddling around, just need to set the departure gate and the approach. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
May 16, 20224 yr This was the first thing I noticed with the hot fix last week. I hate it. Was so easy to input plans with VORs and waypoints. Hope they get it sorted quickly.

Ah, now I understand what you guys are saying. I'll try it out. I'll still have to fix discontinuities but it may save a little time. I haven't been terribly impressed with simbriefs imported flight plans. There are always wierd vectors and discontinuities. Some times it doubles up waypoints or you get wierd loops because the jet can't turn sharp enough and you have to go in and edit it. I pay for Navigraph and Simbrief but I'm disappointed I still end up spending 5 mins fixing every flight plan. Still I would like it back for VOR to VOR flying. Yes, I know you can do that in simbrief too, but sometimes I dont want to go to website and enter a ton of info. I just want to set fuel and click on some VORs and go.
