Does FSX have to be activated before SP1 can be installed? I am still trying out FSX on different machines and so have not yet activated, but would like to see how SP1 performs.Also, does SP1 give any FPS boost if SLI is enabled? (Tried a search, but just found all the posters who put their SLI spec in their sigs).--Bryn

I've installed FSX and SP1 several times during the last week. Sometimes I ran FSX before installing SP1, sometimes I didn't. Everytime I had the option NOT to activate, so... it's no problem. BTW I did activate it everytime (I must have activated FSX at least 10 times by now) and never had a problem with it!

Was that a "NO" to the SLI question>as well?YES... :)Whatever SLI does or does not do has nothing to do with FSX (or any other program for that matter).SLI either helps or it doesn't.However, Phil (and some others at ACES) have mentioned - oh, at least a hundred times or so by now - that the way that FSX gets rendered by the video card, SLI may actually SLOW performance...
