June 8, 20223 yr This morning my connection was a bit iffy and I could not synch steam or download some of my forum sites. This happens now and again here. So, I was wondering what backup you lot use for your flying fix if the magic of internet has died on you? Or do you wait for the internet to get better. Personally I think I have a couple of boxed editions of FSX that do not require internet and good old FS95. 😀
June 8, 20223 yr I use my cell phone as the backup. 2 ways. Set it up as a mobile WI-fi hot spot or tether the computer to it using a USB cord. I could also tether via Bluetooth. I just don't. i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440
June 8, 20223 yr Commercial Member I use XP as my other main sim, and FS2004 (on my old laptop), FlightGear (the B707 is quite nice) and AeroflyFS2 as backups. Mario Donick .:. vFlyteAir

I don't really have an alternative for MSFS as a civilian flight sim, and I'm certainly not going back to P3D if it didn't work. I have a few older military flight sim games from GoG that I might fire up then, like Fleet Defender from Microprose.
June 8, 20223 yr For me it is called "get off the computer and attend to some of those domestic chores I have been putting off".
