...as of this morning.  Freelock (Right-Mouse Hold) no longer functions, so I'm unable to move my view freely for control or monitoring.  To make matters worse, all Cockpit and External cameras are now slowly drifting down (providing views that slowly drift up).

I have tried the following so far:

  • Reset mouse to default
  • Verified Freelook settings
  • Checked mouse calibration
  • Rebooted System
  • Restarted Sim

No joy,  This is a huge disappointment, as I had a couple of great flights yesterday with no issues.  Any ideas?

sorry no clue, PC reboot? IF you have made and are using an adjusted keyboard profile, change back to default (sometimes I sit something on my microsoft calculator pad and locks down a key, and then nothing works right until I figure what I've done)

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's

I need to jiggle my ThrustMaster USB connecter every once in a while to get it to work again.

I've rebooted everything multiple times.  I guess I'll try reseating all the controller USB connectors, though all tests with other programs show that they are working fine.  Also, why are all the views drifting?

Randall Rocke

Disconnect all usb controllers one at a time until you find the culprit.

Yeh - I'll start with the flight controls first, then, if necessary, move on to the other 10 peripherals.  Going to be a morning job...

That may resolve the drifting, but that probably won't resolve the main issue with total loss of the Freelook views.  I'm hoping for the best,

OK everyone - I'm back in business as of a few minutes ago.  First of all, resetting all controller settings to defaults did nothing - all issues remained.  So, I began removing and reconnecting all of my peripherals (about a dozen of them).  FS reacted with a CTD but I kept going.

After restarting the sim everything was back to normal - Freelock is giving me view control again and the cameras are now stable (no more drifting).

Thanks, everyone, for your input!
