Clouds and KAVX scenery in MSFS v1.26.50

Featured Replies

I just got upgraded to the latest version of MSFS  Premium (1.26.50) after re-installing on C:\Steam with lots of space and rolling cache on a 2 TB NVMe system drive.  Are these dark clouds normal now in MSFS?  Live weather is off.
This is at KSFO (San Francisco).

Also, after the latest upgrade shouldn't the bespoke airport KAVX look like the picture on the left below instead of what it is on the right?  I have ORBX's KAVX but I don't have it installed in the Community folder. Thank you.

Did you install the rest of the updates in the Content Manager?  There's probably a few for the USA.  Also did you actually install the World Update from the marketplace?

Yes, thank you. I installed within MSFS (Content Manager). Hmmm.... do you mean KAVX is a separate download from the Marketplace?  I did install everything including all of the USA except for one weird one related to AIG Traffic below which simply refuses to install. I've pressed ok multiple times, waited and waited, rebooted, disabled AIG Traffic Controller from auto-starting in exe.xml, etc. but it still refuses to install. I'm running out of ideas on this one.

Yup, the main update is in the Marketplace. As they always are.  Are you sure you installed the new US update, not just updated the old US update?

Missed that update in the Marketplace. But I have it now and KAVX is fixed. Thank you.

Are you getting those dark clouds too?

I think I have everything installed except for the AIG module above. AIG is still an alpha release, so maybe that's ok for now.

Ive seen those dark clouds since initial release. Ugly, but i think its due to the way the shaders work for cloud lighting.
