The default 407 is indeed a waste of time to fly, but this https://simfocus.com/product/simfocus-bell-407-improvement-mod/ completely transforms it. Highly recommended.

Apple maps is my default for MSFS these days. I find it to be the most consistent when it comes to colour and has significantly better visuals than Bing or Google in a lot of the more remote areas. The pro license was worth the money to me for this alone.

Cant use it here at the moment, but as I'm in Bristol as well you probably knew that already!

Used the free version happily for many months and have now been using the paid version for 5 months. Find myself using Apple maps more and more, quite often a better alternative in many places in South America, Alaska, Africa etc, and it's a great alternatives even places Bing and Google cover well (US / EU etc) Free version or paid, this has been my favourite addon for the sim.

Experienced three good storms recently. One was a few weeks ago in Yellowstone National Park during a heli flight, which was quite atmospheric I'd also experienced two absolutely spectacular storms, but just spent 10 mins wracking my rapidly failing brain as to where they occurred when It finally hit me... they were in a different game😂 Way Of The Hunter. Holy hell, that game has the best storms ever in a piece of software!

Straight from the Dev where possible. Second choice is Just Flight as they are generally cheaper for UK residents than the non UK based companies. Orbx third choice. Never from the in game Marketplace for several reasons (encrypted files, no weapons on warbirds, long waits for updates to name a few)

It's a "update" that removes the automation as that is now broken apparently. That's it.

That problem had/has nothing to do with Bijans 4 Seasons mod. It's his other mod (Project: Islands, Sunken boats..) that's the issue there.

I own both and prefer REX. The weekly texture sets make a huge difference. REX is also better on FPS, REX is still getting regular updates and improvements. Set it up and forget it. I was impressed with Bijans mod, I'm even more impressed with REX. Will be interesting to see if Bijan makes a comeback, I look forward to it if so, but for the time being I'm sticking with REX.

Just a massive "thank you" to all involved in this project. Running this + Seafronts packages + a full AIG install... All showing up, all effects showing, no FPS hit, no stuttering. Wonderful job. Until the boats on rivers problem is sorted this is as perfect as it get on the shipping front. Trains next? 😄

As said above.. there are very few laptops that can handle FSX unless you're willing to spend a small fortune. Secondly, any nVidia card with a '3' or '4' as the second number is not in any way meant for serious gaming. They tend to have very low memory bandwidth which is useless for any demanding game. Best rule of thumb for an nvidia card is get one with a '8' as the second number, '6' is the lowest you want to get if you're serious about decent performance. (IE 8600, 8800, 260,280, 460,480)

The RealAir Spit is the one to get at the moment. Fantastic plane. If A2A accusim theirs it may take the crown, but for the time being the RealAir Spit is the best on the market.

Same here Ryan, i gave up on the Zone method and just named my FSX folder "aaaFSX" and use the name defrag. Works a treat.

Hi, I set the preferred device to the Joystick but it made no difference.The stick is a Saitek Cyborg Evo Force and the O/S is Win 7 Ultimate (64)Even with all axis unassigned on the wheel in the settings it's still moving and no FFB is going to the Joystick. I used to have a non FFB Evo set up exactly the same way with no issues so it's definitely the FFB that's the only difference now.
