Yes but the point is do you expect the PC version will go far beyond what Xbox is capable of? They want a similar experience no matter the platform.

Right... of course....

The next 8 years is going to be spent trying to prop this sim up on xbox. As add-ons increase so will the demands on memory. PCs can be upgraded, Xbox is fixed. Microsoft will not allow the PC to excel too far beyond their platform of choice, XBOX. That is why this sim will remain limited.

Many of us won't be here in a couple of years so easy to tell us now that won't happen. As you know Jorg is always excited about new users. There seems to be no priority on keeping the current ones happy beyond lip service. But don't worry, this thread will be locked come Friday and these words will be forgotten, like history.

Here is what is likely to happen in the next 2-4 yrs. MSFS development will be capped on the Series S (weakest hardware) version as a new console will be released by then. New hardware has been confirmed to be in the works already. MS has done this for their past consoles as well so there is precedent.

I wouldnt tell you (Avism) either.  I do have past history on my side with regards to console lifespan though. Carry on with the hand wringing. "Woe is me!" ...lol

Laughing at this.  Ian is the most unlikely person on the forum to be doing any hand-wringing!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

I know, it's more the general vibe of this thread. I have some hand-wringing going on myself with which way I want to go upgrading my HOTAS system  🙂
