July 8, 20223 yr Hello, I have attached a couple of pics of how bad the ocean and the horizon looks like when flying over water. I am not flying close to land, so those are not mountains. Does anybody know of any adjustment that can minize this terrible effect? Thanks and regards Juan ocean eas2 by jducaud, on Flickr ocean eas by jducaud, on Flickr Edited July 8, 20223 yr by ducaud
July 8, 20223 yr Wow I have never seen anything like that! Are you using 3D clouds? I gave up on those and use 2D clouds with EA. While I am not thrilled with the 2D clouds they seem to be the better option. Bruce Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
July 11, 20223 yr Author Hello Bruce, I am not using any third party clouds. But it is not a cloud issue. The day was perfectly clear, only the typical haze of EAS. Regards Juan
July 13, 20223 yr Ducaud - that is a mesh issue and area tile issue. Instead of reading the level or flat ocean mesh it is misreading or your underlying mesh has somehow been corrupted. It may only be specific to a particular geographical area. There is not adjustment possible except to do a reinstallation of the base P3D Scenery and get a new terrain config file as well, Have you by any chance installed some new scenery lately that may have caused the corruption?

This happens to me from time to time. I just let it rebuild, usually takes less than a minute. Bode Edited July 14, 20223 yr by BlueStar I Earned My Spurs in Vietnam
July 19, 20223 yr Author Thanks Coastaldriver, I have not installed any new software lately. I might hav happened before, as I do not usually do long flights over ocean. Over land I do not not see any issues. Regards Juan
July 19, 20223 yr Author Hello Bode, I have never used minimize while flying, so I guess is not caused by that. Thanks Juan Edited July 19, 20223 yr by ducaud
