Best Gamin GNS 530 / 430 offer ?

Featured Replies

I know about the two options for the GTN 750, but since I really would like to have an as close to the real thing as possible GNS 430 / 530 coupled system, or simply

a 530, what are my available options other than the default that comes with FS 2020 Premium or Deluxe ( I only own the Standard ), and which would you choose ?

Thx !

No good options for GNS.  People will say the PMS unit but it's basically just a few extra features over default and is using the current awful flight plan system.  It's nothing like the G1000 NXi by Working Title.

That being said, WT is working on a new GNS right now - which will make it worthy - no idea on when it's to be completed.

Reading between the lines I expect you mean how does the current MFS offering compare to the new XP12 version which you will no doubt trumpet about. Time will tell. Are you seriously expecting me to believe that you have no idea about what's on offer at present for MFS? I hope no one bites (as I have done😀) and gets trolled by this thread.

Hmmm, your problem @jarmstro... Have you seen the tag XP12 mentioned in my post ? No ? Tha't because it wasn't meant to be a question directed at XP12 but rather at MFS users, just like me...

Problem is I almost never use GA aircraft in a flightsim - you should know if you happened to read most of my posts at various forums, from AVSIM to Aerowinx, etc...  but from time to time I'm tempted to simulate GA flights in a flightsim, particularly MFS due to it's unequaled scenery. It also happens that most of the GA aircraft around where I fly for real aren't actually GPS equipped, or at most have a GNS 530 or rather a "simpler" 430... AND, I own FS2020 standard, so, no GNS-equipped GA comes with this version.

So, unless you have a good suggestion regarding my original question, I suggest you save your useless comments for yourself !
