Just head to the website to download latest release V2.9.8.0

I'm having an issue here. After installation MCE won't launch, nothing happens when I run mce.exe with admin rights. Tried turning off anti-virus for download and installation and tried without installing the beta but to no avail. I installed into the default location.

I assume Windows UAC is left at defaul.

Try restoring to factory settings.

Windows Start->Multi Crew Experience->Restore factory settings.

Then, don't run the sim and just launch MCE.

A different app (the wizard) should run instead.

It will check the pre-requisits and eventually report anything missing.

If still no joy, go to C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Multi Crew Experience\ folder and open "mce.ini"

Change "Debug=0" to "Debug=1"

Run MCE and a "startuplog" should be generated.

Send the log to support.

Send "Registration.txt" file (found in MCE installation folder) as well so that a new key is generated if required.

FWIW new "mce.exe" and "Simco64_Ldr.exe" files have been re-generated based on exact same version.

Ran it quickly through "VirusTotal" website and out of 70 AVs, only 3 found it suspicious (no issues with major AVs)

You would think a digitally signed exe file guaranteeing the origin of the file would be enough.

Edit: >Removed sensitive information related to potection system<

Just re-download and replace the 2 files only this time if you already added the others.

This worked, thanks!

You're welcome.

Did the new Fenix A320 update bring any issues? Thanks

I haven't yet had the time to test because of a W11 clean installation and all the sim/addon reinstallation hassle that comes with it. I'll definitely report back once I'm back in the air.

As this is on my wishlist for the new year, I think there's a hotfix to the update? I'd be interested in any reports of airworthiness ?

Looks like a good study level sim?  With MCE integration it must be given serious consideration!

Regards.

Yes, it's the same aircraft type and the VC is the same for ASOBO plane, FlyBywire mod and FENIX in terms of switches and dials which is the only thing FO cares about.

That way, you will have (and modify) the same flows for all of them.

Maybe the folder should have been named "A320", but it's too late now as users would already have custom flows in that folder.

By the way, MCE FO is the only one who can handle FCU dials and get CDU data from the perf page (within a minute of them being inserted), requiring no input from you with regards V speeds for accurate call-outs.

FMA call-outs (again not available in any other product) is the only thing that may require further tweaking, therefore please report if those aren't made accurately.

Simbrief integration already started and FO is expected to finally be able to setup FMC CDU autonomously via a single speech command, thanks to all info he gets from Simbrief. Should be implemented in next update.

@FS++ I've done four flights now with the latest Fenix updates.

- FCU dialing doesn't work, the F/O can't see what the FCU is set to and therefore can't dial in any exact command. I think pull and push commands also don't work.

- During the oxgyen check, the F/O checks both his and the Captain's oxygen instead of his only and the buttons are left pushed in so the oxygen keeps flowing unil I reset it.

- The two VOR/ADF switches on the F/O side are put to ADF instead of off when commanded to off.

Oxygen test glitch confirmed and should e fixed.

FCU dialling is guaranteed to work.

It's just annoying that it needs to be adapted to each Fenix release. Fixed for the latest hotfix.

Re-download the patch and only replace "Simco64_Ldr.exe" this time.

It may or may not break in next plane update, but it's not a biggie. Takes 30 minutes to fix.

We just need to be notified when it does need attention. Please confirm all OK on that front.

Fingers crossed they don't release a new Hotfix tomorrow 😛

So I tested the latest beta with the Fenix A320. FCU dialing doesn't work for me, the F/O is still blind. The other items work as far as I can see.

What's more trouble though is that MCE won't work with the PMDG 737 anymore. After an A320 flight with the latest beta yesterday I loaded up to fly the 737 today on the same version but MCE won't connect to the airplane anymore. As usual I have reloaded the flight, this time several times, before launching MCE, but the F/O doesn't move the armrest anymore and the ground services introduction doesn't sound either or only after several minutes instead of straight away. MCE did not tell me that the flight needs to be restarted. I tried rolling back one patch that I still have on my PC (replacing Simco64_Ldr.exe with the previous version) but the issue persists.

I suggest you re-install latest version.

http://www.multicrewxp.com/mce.zip

That should restore nomal operation with all supported planes, including PMDG 737

EDIT: Only need to patch if you downloaded earlier than last Tuesday. The latest package has all the latest files.

Should handle FCU dialling in initial release (1.0.2.104) as well as the following patches. (1.0.3.125) AND (1.0.4.134)

Thanks, seems to work again. I'll report on the FCU dialing once I've flown the A320.
