Flyingiron Spitfire cockpit - unable to close ...

Featured Replies

Tried to post at the FlyingIron forums, but they have a problem / aren't working, so maybe some of you with their MF Spitfire can help...

Since I installed their latest version of the Spitfire I am unable to close the cockpit canopy. I click on what used to be the correct sopt, but nothing happens ...

Any suggestions welcomed !

You have to close the side door thingy first.

Thx @jarmstro, and I did that - I believe...

Actually that's another "quirk" I have with the FI Spit - the side door never fully opens ( ? )... it only partially slides out...

Not sure what you're doing wrong (are you unlocking it first?), but my side door opens fully (as well as slightly open/unlatched). No problems with the canopy either.

There is close and a 2nd closed the spit is made that way you have to close the door to a second stage to let the canopy to close. Its so when you have it open on approach it does not slam shut.

From memory you have to click where the catch meets the door frame on the top at the front.
