Problem custom vieuws

Featured Replies

Whenever I create a  custom view, and recall it afterwards, the view is changed. I store the views on the numeric keyboard

The problem is with all planes

As an example : this is the custom view stored

And this is what I get when I recall the view - the zoom is changed and shifted to the top and left

Are the views saving to the correct keyboard profile?

My views were acting strange and I found it was not using my normal profile (named "default") it was on a profile called "Keyboard 1" for some random reason.

You can also check the bindings by doing a search for "camera"

Not sure if it is the same issue, but I was struggling with the zoom changing in the custom views I saved.

What helped me, was this post on the official forums:

Thanks, but unfortunately it did not solve the problem

In the msfs options menu for camera position, have you adjusted from default, i think most are normally set around 50.

Also is the pilot view set as wideview which is what i have set or landing/close view?

I set my camera view bindings to 0-9 and set 10 custom views per plane and generally have no issues, except pilot view ahead, which sometimes means I have to press the 7 key (my saved pilot ahead view) a couple of times as it sometimes does something similar in presenting an eleveated landing view eye position.

Also make sure to delete the original/ default custom camera view key binds and any other controls that might be set to the num pad.

It is reset to the default position. I cannot recommend changing the menu settings. Instead, assign a button or key to "VFR PILOT VIEW SAFE". Mine is Ctrl-Pos1. You also need keys to move the head around the cockpit. Those are "TRANSLATE COCKPIT VIEW ...". You can turn and zoom with the mouse or its wheel. Use this to set the default view you like and save it with the set button. This position will be used to reset from custom views or landing mode. I have also Pos1 set to "RESET COCKPIT VIEW".

By the way, you can also save key to "LANDING PILOT VIEW SAVE", Mine is Ctrl-Space. And Space is to "TOGGLE LANDING VIEW MODE (HOLD)".

I once had a video on this stuff, but nobody watched it. And the lots of videos on MSFS views use other tricks.
