  1. Not sure if it is the same issue, but I was struggling with the zoom changing in the custom views I saved. What helped me, was this post on the official forums: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/zoom-custom-view-issues/358231/6?u=true
  2. For flightsimming RTX IO might actually be the most interesting thing Nvidia announced. Instead of the CPU having to load textures and data from your harddrive/SSD into RAM and then send it to the GPU, the GPU can instead load textures and data directly from your harddrive/SSD into VRAM and hopefully reducing the load on the CPU. "Object pop-in and stutter can be reduced, and high-quality textures can be streamed at incredible rates, so even if you’re speeding through a world, everything runs and looks great." Source: Nvidia We won't see it until next year, though, when Microsoft implements DirectStorage in Windows.
  3. Are you seeing this right after loading in or also after like 15-20 minutes? The AI will often do this right after loading in. They might come in too low and land before getting to the runway, or they might come in too high and do a nosedive into the runway. But after about 15-20 minutes things will be good. This is normal, it just takes the AI system a while to get itself sorted after you load into an airport. Of course, it might be something else, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
  4. Check that the [Radios] section is in aircraft.cfg for these AI. If they are not there, just copy the same section from one of the working AI. This section is needed for the AI to contact ATC. Otherwise they will not land or take off. Not sure if this is your problem, but worth a check.
  5. You can check out the AVSIM Prepar3D Guide (you can find it on the right side of this forum under "Hot Spots"). If you go to the section "Configuring Graphics Settings" it will show you what you're looking for. I think it was made for v3, but most of the settings are the same in v4.
  6. Thanks, Oliver! That's a great time-saving tool.
  7. You will need to remove the [exits] part of each ai aircraft.cfg (or just comment them out with //).
  8. The only one I know of is FTX Global OpenLC Europe which covers Western Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova plus the rest of Europe of course. :)
  9. That's the same texture repeating over and over. You'll need better landclass or photoreal to fix that.
  10. I'm using 387.92 at the moment, and I have the Pro version, but that should not have anything to do with it.
  11. Check in the Nvidia Control Panel that "Enable G-SYNC for windowed and full screen mode" is ticked. I have not had any problems with G-SYNC either before or after the Fall Creators Update.
  12. Just search the Avsim library for "mitsushi yutaka 787" and you'll find it.
  13. No issues here with P3D+EzDok and the latest Windows 10 upate. Did a two hour flight yesterday after the update, and it was as stable as ever (I actually don't remember the last time I had a CTD with P3D).
  14. It could be that the sim loads one or both of the nearby regions at that point. Three regions meet in the North Sea between England and Belgium/Holland: K - Europe British, L - Europe French and A - Europe Germanic Take a look at the regions map here. So when you remove the higher quality mesh, VAS doesn't increase as much. Maybe? Just something to consider.
  15. My hope is that LM with the next point release gives us two executables, one 32 bit and one 64 bit. That way both simmers and addon makers can start experimenting with 64 bit. I think this is what LR did when X-Plane 10 went from 32 bit to 64 bit.
  16. It might work fine, or it might not work. But since Asus hasn't listed it as supported, they have either not tested it, or it does not work on the current Bios version. You can either take your chances, or you will have to find a motherboard that supports that RAM, or buy that motherboard and some other RAM that is supported. I have an Asus Z170 pro gaming motherboard and I'm running my G. Skill 3200 MHz CL14 RAM at 3000 MHz CL15, which works without any issues. But of course I would like to run my RAM at the specified speed, so I will buy a new motherboard when I have saved up some money for it.
  17. Not all motherboards support all RAM, you need make sure the motherboard supports the RAM you have. Most manufacturers list the supported RAM on their support pages. I made the mistake of not checking compatibility before buying, and now my computer doesn't POST if I try to run my RAM on the XMP settings, I have to run it a bit slower. It's my own fault for not checking compatibility first though. I will probably buy a new motherboard (probably ASRock Z170 Extreme6, which is one of few motherboards that support the RAM I have).
  18. Or you can use something like ModelConverterX to open the mdl files and look at the liveries.
  19. +1 I have the newer PG279Q (IPS panel) and it is great. As long as you can keep above 30 FPS, it's as smooth as butter.
  20. Same here. Bought a GoFlight yoke in August and ordered two new saitek throttle quadrants to put my new cockpitphd levers on (btw, I do not recommend them, too expensive for what you get), but I am still waiting on the quadrants. In the mean time I have had to keep my Saitek yoke plugged in just to be able to use the throttle quadrant that came with it (tried just plugging it in to a PS/2 port, but that didn't work). Really hoping that they get the new stock out in December.
  21. Steve, could the reason that the A36 exhibits worse AA than the B58 be that the textures are not mipmapped?
  22. That's Flytampa. They just released updated installers for their scenery for P3D3, so they are sending people download links. Nothing to worry about.
