Preparing MSFS for a long flight series?

it will be because YOU did it and not some computer.

you say it.

I read a true story about some ferry pilot in the 70's who flew a single piston engine GA airplane over the pacific only to find out after several hours that his ADF receivers needle had come off and got stuck on the instrument glass, and he had deviated from his planned course due to  some cross winds along his route without realizing it. but since there was no way for him to know for how long he had already been off course he made a mayday call which was heard from an airliner above him who slowed down, flew a few full circles above him and radioed his current position back and somehow directed him back on track, otherwise he would soon have run out of fuel and never been seen or heard of ever again. those were the days of great circle navigation, GPS not even heard of. Great circle navigation was something Charles Lindbergh had learnt from navy sailors before he planned his course over the atlantic, where he would change his compass course every hour or so to a new pre-calculated heading by a fixed amount that he had plotted on a chart. that's what I call study level.

very nice.

I’m surprised not many have heard of little nav map. It is an absolute gem for flight planning and flight tracking. One of the best freeware out there. Will never do a flight without it.

You can plan a multi leg bushtrip and stop MSFS after any landing, continue  later. Bush trip injector will also create (before the flight) images of each airstrip as seen from the sky. It shows them the bush trip window while flying.

5:58 mouse click puts wikipedia information of the locations.

7:00 mouse click adds the aerial views.

10:10 he only has 2 legs in the bush trip. There could be 2 dozen or even around the world.

You can also use custom images instead of the auto generated ones. Just fly in Dev Mode, Go To Airport warp to the first (or any) airstrip, pause, slew around and take a screenshot looking down at the airport. And use that image instead. And so forth. You don't need to do any of that if using the auto generated images.

You can stop the bush trip after any leg, and continue later. After doing a few it becomes quicker.

The downside is it takes much longer for the cmd window to generate the bushtrip files at the end. He only had 2 legs and it took awhile. It might say 'error' at the end of that if you broke the rules of what you typed in those boxes or maybe used images of the wrong pixel size etc. Can be frustrating.
