Don't know my MS account logged to MFS2020

Featured Replies

Hello!

I'm going to reinstall msfs2020 (because of beta) but i don't know anything about my MS logged-in. I´m not sure if i can create and sign in with another MS account (even if i will lose all profile data). My question is: Will MSFS give the option to sign in with any other account?

Thanks,

Gil

You will need to know your ms account login and password. Your license key is tied to those credentials and without your login you cannot install without repurchasing (and then having to create a new login to use with the new license)

You would also lose anything purchased in the marketplace on the old account.

Another subject: Some people signed on to the $1 a month trial and then purchased stuff in the marketplace. Apparently, then they later used the wrong approach to exit the trial and buy MSFS instead of renting it, and lost all the marketplace purchases. At least there was one thread here started by someone who said that's what happened to him (he had changed username and therefore had changed his account.

Aren’t you anyway logged into Windows with your account? Should be the same for MSFS. Usually it’s your email address and I bet there is a Passwort reset function available in case you forgot that

You log into Windows every time you boot your computer. If you have an Xbox account under the same name your Xbox credentials will be the same.
