Does anyone know if there is a good quality (and stable), DA 42 equipped with a standard G1000 (not the NXi version) available for MSFS?

No, as the default has been permanently replaced with the G1000 nxi.

The default was horrifically bad though if you're thinking of comparing it to the real standard G1000.

I think you're thinking of the DA62 that's included with MSFS?

I'm not aware of a DA42 for MSFS.

No I was comparing the default G1000 to the G1000 NXi.  My point was I'm not sure why anyone would want a MSFS version using the g1000 that shipped with MSFS.

Sorry -- typo on my part.  Yes, you're right Ryan, I had meant the da 62.  I should have been more careful in my original post.

I wasn't familiar with the earlier iteration on MSFS.  My reason for wanting a g1000 is because that is the configuration I fly,

The real g1000 is great.  I was saying that the msfs rendition of it was very poor.  Thankfully the group Working title formed and created an amazing upgrade the g1000 nxi.

There is a DA62 improvement mod which you can get from: https://flightsim.to/file/2733/da62x-project - It'll work with the G1000NXI and I agree with Ryan about how the NXI in the sim anyway is the version to use.

Thank you both for you thoughts on this.  My only use is for a quality performing standard g1000 fit DA 62, as my use is to assist maintaining awareness and proficiency in the same fit out of a real world da 62.  Obviously, not much I can do about it should no such beast exist for msfs,

You are never going to get a perfect match.. but frankly, the NXI operates much like the original G1000, so I would not expect you to feel unfamiliar..  The bigger issue IMHO is that even the very good WT G1000 does not operate exactly like the real unit..
