12 GB of GFX memory gone...

Patriot3810, you are correct in that developers are dropping P3D left and right, and that is your basic market mechanisms at work - there is simply more profit to be had in the MSFS market. As an example, one developer whom I talked to, said that only 4% of his turnover was from P3D and the rest from MSFS, and given that number it is easy to see why his efforts would go to MSFS.

Well, at one time or another the MSFS market will be saturated...

Otherwise chillout and have a Virtual Beer is what I say, it's never been better for choices.

Ray -- speaking of scenery -- I am a Megascenery (for US) and VORMexico (for Mexico/Central America) photosccenery user. Do you (or others) know how MSFS scenery compares to P3D with Megascenery? I am not interested in changing sims, just curious.

Have a great weekend all!

I don’t have any Megascenery, sorry.

There was a time when 12 GB of GFX card memory was considered such a huge amount that it could never be used.

Indeed I thought I'd never manage to max it all out yet that's just what's happened.

Better start putting the $$ aside for the new 4000 series NVidia cards 😉

Cheers

Actually I do have MSFS in UAT review.

Unfortunately although graphically it is a leap, there is far too much missing to make it my goto sim.

I mean really... FSX did and still does some things better.

Maybe in another 2 to 5 years of development.
