Yeah, or AI at work. I sometimes suspect that the price automatically increases after visiting an item you're interested in a few times.  Clearing cookies or placing it in your cart as a 'hold' doesn't help, the old price is replaced with a higher price. It happens when checking plane tickets and hotel rooms too.

I’ve often suspected the exact same thing.
