October 20, 20223 yr Hi all, have a question for those with the Verticalsim KBOI. Are any of you experience massive frame drops when facing towards runway 10L? Seems like I have a constant smooth 35 frames all other angles, but when the camera pans towards that direction or when taxing and I head that way the frames will drop to like 11 and stay there for maybe 15 seconds then jump back to 35. I dont get it... October 20, 20223 yr No issues that I've noticed. It's my home airport so I fly in/out a few times a week as well as doing a lot of circuit work there. When I get home this evening I can do some testing to make sure I'm not seeing a noticeable drop in the same scenario. 9800X3D | 5090 | 64GB DDR5 | LG C2 42"
October 20, 20223 yr Author I'll have to keep testing. I tried it with the pmdg 737-800 and that's where the issue was happening. October 20, 20223 yr The only issue I noticed was the windsock pointing in the wrong direction. Two windsocks at the east end of the airport and there always seems to be one pointing the wrong way and one the correct way. 9800X3D | 5090 | 64GB DDR5 | LG C2 42"

I just did my first full airport rebuild with the SDK and the windsocks have to be rotated a certain way for them to show correctly. It is a bit of trial & error to get it right. I hope Asobo makes this a bit easier to do in SDK at some point. Odd that it isn't picked up in testing. To the OP, I have not noticed this issue the several times I have flown in/out of VS KBOI but will pay attention more on next visit. October 20, 20223 yr Author Thanks for checking, the thing is I've flown in and out of that airport so many times and really never noticed that issue either. I'm curious to know if it's an issue with pmdg 737s? I'm going to remove all other sceneries except the Boise Airport, and check other airplanes and see if it happens with that too. I also was noticing this issue when it was an early morning flight when the sun is coming up. October 20, 20223 yr Author Ok, here is a video I just took showing what is happening...around 2:30 into the video it begins with the massive drop..dont get why this is happening, then it jumps to 35 again Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
October 21, 20223 yr Author Might have to reinstall drivers and see if thats the issue...there is no reason why i get this issue. Bill A - I just tested with the PMDG at the same gate and do not have that issue at all. I unlocked my FPS and it was a steady 55 fps everywhere I looked within the VC and externally.
