Easiest way to get ATIS and ILS frequencies

Featured Replies

Hi,

This is probably a basic question but I was used to getting this via the radar contact UI up until now 🙂

What is the easiest way to get airport ATIS and ILS info for an airport while in flight? I'm not subscribed to navigraph charts...

MSFS2024 running on Win 11, 4K screen, Z790 AORUS ELITE AX-W, i9-14900K, MSI 3080Ti, Corsair 2x32GB 6000 MHz, 1+2TB M.2 NVMEs

You can use the map function, scroll to the airport of interest and click on it. You can see all frequencies assigned to it.

Thanks I tried doing so but did not figure how to move the map to the airport, will check again.

Thanks!

You may have to drag a lot depending on how far your destination airport is. A freeware alternative is Little Nav Map (https://albar965.github.io/littlenavmap.html) which is an excellent 'Swiss Army Knife' of flight planning, airport/approach/departure information, etc etc with top-notch support. Can't recommend it enough! They have a forum here on Avsim -- https://www.avsim.com/forums/forum/780-little-navmap-little-navconnect-little-logbook-support-forum/.

Of course, it involves spending a little jack, but the AIVLASOFT EFB2 is my choice even though I have a Navigraph subscription. Very easy to use with all the information you'll need for simulated IFR including SIDs, STARS approach and airport taxi and gate chart. Free trial before you buy.

You don’t say why you’ve stopped using RC4 which gave you that data.

But ATIS is held in f4.csv and ILSs in r4.csv. Just search by ICAO.

Hi Ray,

I'm transitioning to use MSFS as well so I've started using FSHud which does not provide that data.

Great weekend!

@Shomron, there’s a MakeRunwys.exe for MSFS which is the program that extracts this data.

As this relates to MSFS do you want me to move this topic to that forum?

No need I keep using P3D with FSHud and was actually referring to getting this info from within P3D 🙂

Okay, it was just your comment about transitioning to MSFS that made me suggest it.  O problem.
