October 26, 20223 yr Hi. I'm running P3Dv4.5HF3 with ASP3D and ASCA. I was wondering if ASCA is bypassed when ASP3D is set to "Live Weather". Thanks for any comments on this. October 26, 20223 yr Jeff I don't believe so .... after many flights with both live (current) & historical weather. But then I always use ASCA Global Dynamic ... so it may look obtuse with other ASCA textures for now, cheers john martin

Jeff Smith Remember, active sky cloud art is only decorative. It is not a Weather engine. I use it regularly with live weather and I’m very satisfied with the results. But how it looks will depend ultimately upon how active sky itself as the weather engine determines whatever METAR it is interpreting.
October 26, 20223 yr No, ASCA is not bypassed. It is however bypassed when using Volumetric clouds/EA. October 26, 20223 yr Author OK, thanks to all. Apparently, it is subtle enough to not really interfere with the live weather that is being depicted. Any recommendation for an ASCA setting (in addition to Global Dynamic) that works particularly well with ASP3D's Live Weather? Or, maybe they all do, just checking. Thanks again.
