Aerosoft CRJ Autopilot

Featured Replies

Hi, has anyone else that has flown the CRJ have issue engaging the autopilot? Mine just immediately disengages. Im using a Honeycomb Bravo Throttle and a A320 Thrustmaster joystick. I do have the red button on the joystick to disengage autopilots and wonder if thats could be causing the issue

Are the yaw dampers all engaged? If not the Autopilot will disconect immidiately.

Is the airplane trimmed out and somewhat following the flight director before you engage the autopilot?

You know what, that might be the issue. There is mach trim and stabilizer trim indicating on the screen, however I don't know where I can correct that. I have the trim set for take off, but don't know where to do the stab trim and the mach trim

On the center console lower left there are buttons that need pressed for mach and stab trim.  The Performance tab on the EFB is where you can put in your load data and export it into the FMC's perf init page, you can see what the recommended elevator trim is and adjust that accordingly.  I fly the plane all the time and have no problems with anything with it including inputting waypoints enroute, following LNAV just fine, etc.  It's a very nice jet and keeps one focused as it's w/o autothrottle.
