X-Plane 12: frigate approach in rough sea

Featured Replies

Now - that's what I call realism in XP12. Oh wait ... that's a real video 😁. However, that's what I call flying skills!

I'm not a good helo pilot, however I can land at least on a helipad (with an easy to fly helo). But under no circumstances I dare to try to land on a moving and even rocking surface ...
No high fidelty addon required. Whatever for? It's by default in this sim.

Nice plop.

Now the R22!! : )

Friendly reminder: WHITELIST AVSIM IN YOUR AD-BLOCKER. Especially if you're on a modern CPU that can run a flight simulator well. These web servers aren't free...

Nice RL video. It is uncannily similar to the attempts I tried in X-Plane in the same situation: some went well, others less so. X-Plane really can be very realistic and close to RL operations, even without any addons!

Got me on the carrier. I think the textures could do with some loving on both the frigate and carrier. But also. wow.

That's what makes flight simming (in this case with X-Plane 😁) so exciting. You can try extreme flight situations, not only feed your FMC and let (somewhat overstated) the airplane do the rest.
