Free Upgrade For Current Users -Sky4Sim Pad NG

Featured Replies

The latest version, entitled Sky4Sim Pad NG is free if you are a current user of the original Sky4Sim Pad.

I immediately noticed two improvements:

1. The Bing api key, the one that allows you to use the map feature, can now be added after install from your desktop.

2. Nav Data importation can now be done from the desktop also and is quite a way faster than before where you had to do it from within the sim.

(Maybe I missed this feature in the previous version, who knows, they both seem new to me).

3. Newer and "cleaner" interface.

This has been one of your best tips.  I bought the original version and loved it.

I just upgraded to NG, and it is a lot slicker, you are right.  I managed to find my old Bing App key that I used for the old version and used it in the new one - all seems good!

I would recommend this to anyone.  The developers have never stopped making this better from day one.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Yeah, I agree, it's a significantly improved version. Entering the Bing key from within the app and importing the navdata from within was a pain.

If you lose your Bing key, follow the tutorial here:

The Pilot2Atc integration looks interesting.

As always, this has not changed since the first version.

I really enjoy the P2A integration as it allow me to do VR flight almost entirely.

I usually start the engine and prepare the aircraft and request clearance in Display mode. I write down the clearance in the note utility in Sky4Sim then enter VR for the rest of the flight. I can read dialogs if necessary on the Sky4Sim window.

P3D when its freezing in Quebec....well, that's most of the time...
C-GDXL based at CYQB for real flying when its warming up...

I'm sorry to say the new Sky4Sim NG has the same issue of missing ILS information for many airports, as the previous version did. I think it's something related to the database extractor they're using, the same used by Little NavMap, which also has the issue.

Has anyone noticed the same?.
