Maybe I've just been lucky that I haven't really had anything like that happen to me, though pretty much every software has the occasional hot fix. I'm actually much more afraid of windows updates! 😃

I think this is a funny discussion. I'm a firm believer in the theory that having anxiety about something actually causes things to go wrong when they otherwise wouldn't. Me? Updates? I don't care. Bring them on. If an update trashes something, it will get "untrashed" by something else. I have everything segregated and backed up. I can get from a clean hard drive to exactly where I am now in about 3 hours. I'd rather not, but the worst case impact isn't bad. The end result? Most of the time, updates go fine and all is well. And... My blood pressure is still fine.

well, even when chosing the custom install (which I alwas do) the Geforce Experience option is enabled and cannot be deselected? anybody else? not installing under these circumstances

EDIT disregard, obviously checked the wrong tick box, after selecting drivers only it also just installed the drivers only

FWIW I've done extensive testing recently looking for ANY issues w/ GFE w regard to adding stutters or anything else and can confirm it's not causing any problems whatsoever on my installation.  I use the Filters and Shadowplay.
