November 11, 20223 yr Decided to give this version a miss for now as my current driver seems to be fine and the update doesn't seem to include anything msfs or dx12 related. If reports are positive, I may reconsider following SU11 (which hopefully improves dx12 and dlss a bit). An attitude left over from a day when computers were slow enough that they were affected by having those processes in the background. November 11, 20223 yr I installed this last night. Custom install with no GeForce as usual. Nothing strange or unusual. This is the 1st driver that has good DX12 performance on my system in SU11. Nothing in the change log seems to indicate that it should have fixed that, but I'll take it. Just in time, too. i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440

But if you're speaking of hard drive space, well, considering how cheap storage is, I consider that also a non-issue. Though I do remember the day when pre-built machines came with dozens of often unwanted programs. For myself, nowadays bloatware is what you decide it is. Is CCleaner bloatware? Steam? Oculus software? Navigraph charts? Orbx Central? MSI afterburner? The list can get pretty lengthy. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... I'm talking about increasing the potential source of problems when you install software that relies on multiple services, embed themselves deep in the OS or provides an overlay effect over every running application. Exactly like I linked about, suddenly one day, thousands of users see their games take a massive performance hit over an additional piece of software they have installed, in this case it was exactly Geforce Experience doing it. You see it time and time again people experiencing crashes or problems from an unknown source, because people aren't critical about what they are installing. Then I always advocate for using much less bloated alternatives, that don't rely on installing a ton of junk on an OS service level to function, that is also free, provides tons more options and the same feature-set. Seems like a no brainer.
