I am having similar troubles, except in my case AAO runs in the background as a process. No Event Viewer entries as it runs. Been on Windows 11 for months but only just started happening.

Hi Pessa,

Do you run the EXE as Administrator ?

The AAO development computer has been on Win 11 this whole year. I've never had any problems with it.

To the OP: such a "File not found" exception right at the beginning may point to a missing library. Either AAO has not been installed correctly/fully (check your AntiVirus logs ), or there is a problem with the .Net framework. Make sure that you have the .Net framework version 4.8 installed.

Oh, right, and check where your user account is located. I have seen instances where the user account data had been relocated to the OneDrive - that won't work so well with AAO.

Sorry, but I have no idea what that means. AAO is default Windows .Net client software (built on a Windows 11 computer as well), and it is executed by the .Net framework 4.8 provided by your Windows installation. It is not a separate binary program (like in the old days) that can do whatever it wants.

Are you sure that it isn't just off-screen? That can happen when something changes with your monitors. When in doubt, delete the folder where Windows stores the local app properties for AAO: C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\LWR

Hello and thanks for the answer!!

I am running as administrator the program; I just installed the WIN11 and everything stopped to work!
I tried to install the NET Framework 4.8 but, I already have a new or up to date Framework, so, I am totally lost in how to make things works again!!!

@Pessa did you re-install AAO after the Win11 upgrade? A lot of programs will need to be updated or just re-installed after Win11 upgrade.
