January 6, 20233 yr How do you position the camera somwhere useful in slew mode? What am I missing here? No matter where I position the camera as soon as I hit "Y" to engage slew mode the camera jumps right behind the aircraft with that cretinous fish-eyed nonsense and won't let me move it. I need to see the nose wheel to position the aircraft where it should be at the gate. It's the only reason I want to use slew mode and it is preventing me from doing it. Surely I'm missing something here. I must be. 😆 They wouldn't lock this out given the obvious reasons for using it in the first place. January 6, 20233 yr You are not alone. Many have been frustrated by such asobo decisions. anyway in slew mode click on camera icon from tool bar go to drone view and click on any of the fixed camera views that shows you the nose wheel. Now you can slew while looking at nose wheel. and there is no shortcut key to jump to this view. You have to do it through tool bar menu every time. Asobo has a weird way of complicating the simplest things. Look at their native replay system for example and compare it with the FSrecorder freeware. I rest my case. I will give it a try tomorrow despite how preposterously obtuse the process is. Why on earth can't I just pan around with the mouse like I can in the other view? Which is the same view but without Slew Mode on? Why stop me from doing that? Ridiculous. I can't for the life of me understand why they did some of the things they did with this camera system. Such as force that fish eye nonsense on us. It's not even just a bit fish eye. It's fish eye after 20 pints of beer and some iffy mushrooms. It's absurd. I hate it that much it prevents me from looking outside about 80% of the time I want to. 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2

Any chance, anyone has determined a way to save a default slew camera; or somehow bind a hot key to slew with a more useful default camera perspective? Thanks. Thanks. Unfortunately not. One of my bigger wishes, for sure. cheers, NiIs U.AMD 5800X3D | 32GB DDR4 RAM @ 3200MHz | RTX 4070 12GB @ 1920x1050px
