Removing static aircraft from FB Phoenix scenery

Featured Replies

I am slowly reinstalling my P3D scenery and I just installed Flightbeam's Phoenix scenery. Does anyone know how to remove the static KC-135 aircraft? On my old computer I had these static planes removed but I forgot what I did. When Flightbeam had the support forums the answer was in there but now the forums are closed and I can't look.

How about trying the Flightbeam Manager

F:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\Flightbeam\Flightbeam - Manager

The Flightbeam Manager only deletes the static airlines and static general aviation planes. I looked in the files and I don't see anything named KC-135 or similar.

I THINK it was a file I had to delete or rename, but I don't remember if that was the fix or which file it was.

These are in kphxmain.BGL. There is also a file called kphxmain_NOSTATICS.BGL.OFF. You have to exchange the two I guess. I checked, the KC-135 are only in the kphxmain.bgl. So rename this to off and remove the off from the other.

@BlueStar I also kept them, but I may have AI KC-135s there with the MAIW packages I have.

Sorry to hijack this thread but speaking of Flightbeam’s scenery , @blaunarwal do you know why would the default airport taxi signs show on the flightbeam’s scenery? I see this in their KPHX and KIAD.

I’m on P3d v5.3.

Just wanted to say thank you. I got the static planes deleted.

@Samaritano I think the scenery in its correct version can handle default scenery without any measures. Could be another scenery or wrong layering. A simple reinstall should cure it. I'm not sure about this but I think it has a configurator which can solve problems with other sceneries, like ORBX.
