January 11, 20233 yr Author From CNN: From CNN: " The FAA said it has lifted a ground stop that brought flights to a virtual standstill. Earlier on Wednesday morning, a system outage had caused massive disruptions at airports across the US. Normal air traffic operations are resuming gradually across the U.S. following an overnight outage to the Notice to Air Missions system that provides safety info to flight crews. The ground stop has been lifted,” the agency tweeted. The agency hasn't immediately indicated what caused the outage to occur. “We continue to look into the cause of the initial problem,” the tweet said. "
January 11, 20233 yr NOTAM went offline. I admit, I never read those from Simbrief in my MSFS flights, but in RL, very important.
January 11, 20233 yr NOTAM (guess you can't say Airmen any more) have key info on TFRs that you might want to consider when simming. Flew from KLAS to PHNL yesterday IRL. Glad it's today. Have had plenty of flight issues last couple of weeks. Yesterday on SWA, KLAS to KSJC pushed back and started engines, then we went back to the gate to pick up a dead-heading pilot. That made our connection in KSJC tight, but we needn't had worried as that flight was delayed due to (per capt) they couldn't get their contractor to service the lavs and supposedly they couldn't push until they had. When you see the capt get up and leave the plane after everyone is onboard it's never a good sign. But it was my first flights paxing on a 737 MAX 8, so I guess there's that. scott s. .
