January 12, 20233 yr Yes, the issue with the throttle up just before touchdown, on short final, I have noticed it too, no idea why. I do not use any custom pushback. It was not there before, the behavior, at least for me. Valentin Rusu AMD Ryzen 9950X3D OC, Asus RTX 5090 OC, DDR5 64GB @6000MHz, Samsung 9100 NVMe for MSFS2024

There were some general flight performance issues on approach they were sorting out. I flew two full flights and was faced with unstable approaches under 1000 feet (nosing up and down all over the GS) and then both times shortly at after disconnecting AP at 400 feet the plane wildly sent me nose up and to the right for no reason. Basically a stall but could recover manually and land ugly, but this is just straight up wierdness. In more detail - approach seems stable, 500 ft disconnect AP, things seem ok, 400... 300 then bam it throttles up and sends me up and to the right... nasty I don't think I'm doing anything different to using the other airbus. (ps - I can't check discord and that thing is just a disaster for me. And I have account problems with phone numbers anyway and the discord people can;t seem to sort out) If the FENIX people read this - I do think your aircraft is wonderful. It would also explain why everything's fine as long as the autopilot is still connected (because, I presume, assistance doesn't kick in when the autopilot is on).
January 12, 20233 yr For me are all assistance options on OFF but still at 100 ft A/THR goes to MAN THR (before going Idle/Retard)...and as they are in CL position, engines are spooling up and landing goes missed... Are you using the add-on FSRealistic? Is your speed above VLS (Lowest Selectable Speed. Represented by the top of the amber strip along the airspeed scale on the PFD)? Have you entered the weight of the aeroplane correctly before departure? Have you entered all the arrival data correctly on the APPR page under 'PERF' on the MCDU? Reason I ask is that it sounds as if you are going into Alpha Floor Protection. One thing I have recently noted, is that Vapp may be modified manually in the MCDU. Especially important in gusty or icy conditions.(Explained here: https://www.pprune.org/tech-log/459966-airbus-320-vapp-determination.html#post6630330) AMD Ryzen 5800X3D; MSI RTX 3080 Ti ; 32GB Corsair 3200 MHz; ASUS VG35VQ 35" (3440 x 1440) Fulcrum One yoke; Thrustmaster TCA Captain Pack Airbus edition; MFG Crosswind rudder pedals; miniCockpit FCU; CPFlight MCP 737; Logitech FIP x3; TrackIR MSFS; Fenix A320; A2A PA-24; HPG H145; PMDG 737-600; AIG; RealTraffic; PSXTraffic; FSiPanel; REX AccuSeason Adv; FSDT GSX Pro; FS2Crew RAAS Pro; FS-ATC Chatter
January 13, 20233 yr I am not using FSRealistic. I will check about the speed indication but it is in Managed mode (usually till touch down/retard announcement). Weight is introduced according with the value from EFB, yes, also the APPR page is filled corectly based on Metar and chart. Usually when it goes to A-FLOOR you see it indicated and also goes to TO GA LK. I will test it further this weekend. The thing that in the past versions I did not have on my side this issue, which is strange. You did not write about the winds. I recently got 40kts wind at 1200' AGL which calmed down to 12kts on the ground. No wonder the approach felt unstable! I found no issues in everyday winds. See my video here if you care. And please, Fenix or Asobo, don't make the simulation as calm as P3D used to be. Paul Schmidt We're fools to make war on our brothers in arms.
January 14, 20233 yr Author Hi all, I haven't seen this issue happen again and I think it maybe just was a MSFS glitch on that day. I just did a run into EGLL 27R (right now the wind is like 200 @ 30kts) so huge crosswind landing which died off a bit to about 10 kts at TD, real low visibility at the moment down to 300 feet.. Anyway the plane flew it well and was stable. My landing wasn't pretty though.
