January 17, 20233 yr Inspired by @Alaska738 I got myself a couple of Alaskan airports. Not a big fan of mountains and snow and the like, but figured I'd give it a go. Just a few quick shots from around PANC. Eventually got going and once in the air decided to head for PAVD. I remember that as a really nice bit of ORBX scenery back in the P3D days, doesn't seem to be any sign of it coming for MSFS though (but then ORBX seems to have gone right down the Thomas Cr*pper in recent years). Shame, but maybe someone else will do it. Anyway, PANC looks good, and it was interesting to see how much activity there was there in AIG. Interesting light up here This looked better in the original HDR I guess the terminal must be pretty well insulated and heated Downtown Anchorage, I guess Here I am on the way to PAVD. Landed well short there, got a bit wet, so I'll have another go at that before I get any shots of it. I'm using the AIG setup in these shots - http://www.alpha-india.net/ Some folks say it's complicated to set up but it's ok if you take it slowly. I have mixed feelings about these sort of environments, bit like I feel about snow in real life.
