February 25, 20233 yr Commercial Member Safe to say, apart from some very minor issues, the lighting is spot on in XP12. It uses photometric lighting, so you'd be hard pressed to find any issues.

Wouldn't say sun glare from the front and some panel lighting is the same thing. Totally the wrong position of the sun which was behind the aircraft. In all my days of flying i've never seen it red like that! Edited February 25, 20233 yr by UKflyer

February 25, 20233 yr Sunlight is actually blocked by cockpit, infact there are shadows inside the cockpit. I think there are two minor issues: 1) Glare on glass instruments seem not to be blocked by cockpit shadowing; 2) in XP there's a brief moment (a few minutes) before sunset during which the ambient light becomes a strong reddish color, and hence shadowed parts of the cockpit look a bright red as well, maybe a bit too much. There it is looking quite realistic compared to RL: RL: After a while and for a few minutes, the reddish ambient light color seems a bit exaggerated: "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".

In my pic there doesn't appear to be much of a shadow so probably exaggerates the non-shadow area which is red in tone. Edited February 25, 20233 yr by UKflyer
February 25, 20233 yr What was the sun posiition in the initial pic? If it wasn't perfectly west or otherwise blocked by any cockpit structure, it could have been more of a "reality is unrealistic" thing than a bug. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
