Fenix Not Loading Continued..

Featured Replies

I am still having issues with the Fenix app not connecting to the sim.  What specifically can I check on my PC that could be prohibiting it to do so?  I have the following issues in no particular order.  The only thing I did differently since the last time the sim worked was added Simbox.  I removed the Simbox plugin and am still having issues.  I also have a ticket open but they haven't responded.
1) Plane loads but everything is dark with an exception of the EFB - that has the red triangle that says unable to connect to sim - no sound
2) some screens are illuminated but the EFB just has the Fenix logo - no sounds
(both situations above in the Fenix app, the restart button is grayed out)
3) I'll restart the computer and be able to load the Fenix... everything appears to work, but none of my controls work (Thrust lever, pedals, etc. - even after trying to recalibrate)
4) in some instances it will allow me to reboot the app.  It will appear as though it will start working again, but then things go blank on the displays

I've tried everything.  I reinstalled the Fenix twice and that didn't work so I am thinking something got tweaked when I did a Windows update but I have no idea what to check.  I'd like to avoid having to reinstall the whole sim if possible.  However, if it gets to that, how does one do that?  I have never done that before.  I bought the sim through the MS store.  Hopefully someone can help out.  I have never had issues with MSFS or Fenix until the other day.

Just to clarify, WU12 refers to the World Update that includes NZ.

Perhaps you were referring to SU11 (the current stable system update) or SU12 (the current beta).

BTW, I would agree completely that the most direct line to a solution is likely to run through the Fenix Discord.

sorry I should have clarified " are you on Windows 11 " ?

Its not just the Fenix, FSUIPC doesn't auto start with the sim either even though its set to auto start, and GSX has had trouble starting with the sim in auto since launch, I don't know if its Windows 11 updates causing this or Sim Updates , for now I have lined up all the desktop icons and start them one by one lol ! not ideal

I am on win 11 and world update 12.  My FSUIPC auto starts still but I manually open everything else for what it’s worth.

I am having the same issue. Started recently. I just start the "Fenix App" manually and then after 10 seconds everything works. But I wonder why this issue suddently occured.

Humm, strange, I have no issues at all with the FENIX application and FSUIPC.  I just upgraded to WU12 but still have SU11 and have Windows 11 as well with all the updates.  I also run FSHUD ATC, A Pilots Life 2 and Navigraph Charts.  My PC system is almost the same as Sonny147; 9900k RTX 3080Ti 32GB 3200 Ram and a cheap no-name brand NVME 1TB HD running MSFS that I need to replace because it loads slow at the beginning.  Other than that, all's running fine with the FENIX for me

yep me too , iam no expert but i think it maybe something to do with W11 security updates but iam not sure , i have double checked in the defender  firewall and checked exclusions it all seems good ?

Also, is there a way to revert back to the system prior to the windows update?
