I cannot get the VNAV to work using the FSIPanel to place me on a STAR. I have no problem with using VNAV on a normal flight and I am wondering if it has some to do with not reaching TOC/TOD? Using I am place at 10k inbound, the setup enter the star in for me but VNAV will not engage. Just curious if anyone knows how to use it. May not be able too...

I never used Vnav with FSIpanel. Just flew the approach.

Are you rolling your altitude down to the minimum altitude for the STAR once you unpause the sim (or before)?  Only asking because I made that mistake before.  Make sure you are also actually on your LNAV path.  I think sometimes you have to go direct the next waypoint in the FMC. I had that happen the last time I used FSiPanel...I think I was in HDG mode in error for some reason...

Are you saying to roll it down after you unpause or before? Yes I usually go direct to clear the Discon and press activate.

I don't think it matters.  I have it set to where FSI it places me 5 miles before a waypoint so there is usually time to do it after you unpause.

You probably forgot to set CRZ ALT in FMC.
