March 22, 20233 yr Forgive me is this has already been addressed. Does the new turbulence setting from inside the simulator have any effect on FS Realistic or vice versa? Does FS Realistic simply react to whatever turbulence the sim send to it? I thought FS Realistic had it's own version of turbulence or was that a more accurate response to the sim. Mike
March 23, 20233 yr My impression was that FSRealistic did offer a better version of "turbulence", because of the excessive yaw used in sim. But now that I have FSRealistic turned off (to experiment ) I prefer what Asobo is now producing. March 23, 20233 yr Is turbulence viewable externally? ie. in high winds, will you see a GA plane shake a little when viewed from outside the plane. Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space. Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).
March 23, 20233 yr @Tomaz Drnovsek If I understand your question - FSRealistic modifies the Asobo turbulence, so Asobo turbulence does not have to be turned off. However if you prefer Asobo's then the FSRealitic turbulence settings has to be disabled. After running for quite a while without FSRealistic even installed, I'm wondering if I really need it. - I don't seem to be missing it. Not essential is it, but I like the head movement when set to low, and seeing my head disappear into my neck when I cock-up the landing! Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
