March 28, 20233 yr Why are not more Steam users aware of Webhelper.exe causing the sim to stutter every 60 seconds. Set your stopwatch timer and see it for youself. What can be done about it ??
March 28, 20233 yr Thanks for the lead. Symptoms look familiar. I’m gonna look into this after work. I get bad pauses in VR a lot. March 28, 20233 yr How exactly have you determined that the .exe is the cause of stutters? Edited March 28, 20233 yr by JacquesBrel

You can test it yourself easily. Commence a flight and when you see your first glitch, hit the stopwatch on your cell phone (or mobile) and you will observe the next glitch at exacty 60 seconds, and every 60 sends after that etc. Not sure about hilevel jets, I have only tested it on GA aircraft.
March 28, 20233 yr This recently came up here: Not sure if this helps, but here is a suggested solution at the MSFS 2020 forum: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/vr-tips-worth-knowing-add-them-here/468989/98 The specific line in the bat file is: taskkill /f /im steamwebhelper.exe Edited March 28, 20233 yr by flyblueskies PC: AMD 9850X3D, RAM 64GB, Geforce GTX 5090 (32GB), MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, Pimax Super 50PPD, Quest 3
March 29, 20233 yr Well, I can't make it go away, but I have it set to permanently only run with one core affinity (not the main MSFS core) and at low priority. I'll see how that does. March 29, 20233 yr Author Yes I read through Jack Sawers pages, and he ended up ditching Steam altogether and re-purchasing the game from Microsoft. Just to be clear, it only happens with Steam, and it is more of a one second graphic glitch rather than a stutter, and occurs every 60 seconds.`` Edited March 29, 20233 yr by Beagle12 Update text
