High MSFS Clouds Are SO Good

Featured Replies

IMHO, the clouds look best at "high" settings, as I've said before. Also, "high" comes with very little penalty in terms of performance.

Clouds are beautiful in certain conditions but clouds in a few different weather scenarios look the same on every flight. No surprise at all.Not to mention cloud shape, brightness and colors which generates a completely unbalanced set in most flights depending on the weather. conditions. It can be very beautiful with and also very ugly no matter the settings.I saw beautiful clouds even in medium settings.

MSFS is too random as a whole. For long minutes you can have incredible realism and fall into mediocrity a few seconds later.

It ruins everything.

IMO, low, med, high or ultra clouds need work. No variation/types, lighting degraded since release, no true overcast, no attempt of overcast above appx 5,000, usually 1 layer, puffy cumulus everywhere, virtually no thunderstorms.

Live weather clouds are where they should be (very much improved recently), but hopefully some day they will work on the variation and looks of clouds.
