ATR can't use throttle

Featured Replies

Hi, I have the thrustmaster airbus tca throttle quadrant. When I use the ATR the throttles do not respond at all. I've tried resetting them in the control setting, I've tried assigning an axis etc. They just don't respond. Even on the calibration page, the values on the right do not change when moving the throttles. If I switch to any other plane in the sim they work fine. It's as if the ATR doesn't detect them. I've updated the drivers/firmware. Does anyone know what's causing this issue?

Probably the wrong command binding. Just try all of them (throttle 1, thrust axis etc. whatever they are called), there are multiple.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

The above link should help. I have four profiles for my TCA. Default, FBW, PMDG and Fenix. The ATR throttle would not respond at all with the first three, but with the Fenix profile, I'm able to move the throttle and calibrate. Its been almost a year so I don't remember the exact axes settings but I suppose they are similar to the one in the video above that they work.

Thanks, problem solved. Had to map the throttle to throttle 1 and throttle 2, not the ones that say 0-100% like the other aircraft use

Hello everyone, I have an issue with my throttle calibration I have the TCA quadrant and I saw a lot of videos but I can't fix this problem. When I try to calibrate my throttle the axis number doesn't remain and goes directly to the most negative value  -15789. Someone know what to do?

Thanks a lot

Pierre

I do not own the ATR (yet) but from experience with other aircraft and the rather clumsy MFS controllers interface, it's most probably another axis that is being used as well and deflected towards that extreme position.

1) make sure the controller mode is the one you had set for the ATR. MFS allows for named controller configurations that you can then select before going to use a specific addon aircraft.

2) Under that mode, search for any other axis assigned to the throttle.

I seriously hope ASOBO introduces a easier way to couple controller assignments with specific aircraft, like for instance we have in DCS, IL2 and XPlane where you can have a list of aircraft associated with a given controller profile and when you load that aircraft the corresponding profile is automatically selected...
