Also did you update your game bar? And game mode on? Yes to all of the above. And as I said, for the most it has worked. But not on this one occasion. PL, however did the trick and everything stays glued to the cores assigned. Richard 7950x3d | 32Gb 6000mHz RAM | 8Tb NVme | RTX 4090 | MSFS | P3D | XP12
May 5, 20233 yr @Swe_Richard tonight is the moment of truth as I will be installing the 4090 into the new machine. It is a Gigabyte Gaming OC 4090 card. I thought there was an OC and a non-OC version, and I thought I purchased the non-OC, but when it arrived, the packaging says it's an OC card. I'm using Gigabyte's anti-sag bracket, although I did have to modify it (Dremel tool) by grinding off a little metal on one corner of the bracket, so that I'd have USB3.0 clearance on the ASUS ROG Strix X670-E motherboard I have. Only thing left to do is 1) install gfx card, 2) install Corsair Commander controller, and 3) boot and update BIOS...then chipset and etc. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

I actually chuckled a bit when I found the anti-sag thingy in the packaging of my Asus 4090.. Kind of cute though. Feels kind of cheap but it gets the job done. The card is snoozing along at 45C two hours in a flight in the Fenix. Wondering if there is some sensor malfunction TBH. Performance is absolutely mind blowing though. May 6, 20233 yr Richard can you please post a pic of the retention bracket you are using for the cpu cooler as my 150i elite won’t fit any of the brackets that came thanks mike

May 6, 20233 yr After all chipset driver updates and bios updates If you have still problems with choosing correct cores you can restart amd v cache services… just google it to find where it is. Edited May 6, 20233 yr by spitzer45 C. Uygar Aircraft Maint. Engineer. at LTFJ

I just wanted to see if it would boot and not explode, which I'm quite capable of doing. I need more USB 3 headers. O well. I put some red shamrocks in my sig. I'm not sure about those 🌎 Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
May 13, 20233 yr Author Update. I am now running a -15 CO. Volts are set in BIOS to 1.2 but never seems to even reach that level. Corecycler and OCCT tells me (after hours and hours of testing) that everything is nice and stable. This made me enable the EXPO profiles (on the 1401 beta BIOS but voltages don't seem to be an issue what so ever) and I am glad I did. Significant boost in performance in MSFS. Next up I am aiming for a bigger CO but I am doing it incrementally to see everything is as stable as I want it to be. A lot of tinkering but that is part of the fun for me to be honest. Did you mean 1410 bios version? I have same board as you. I’ll have set my expo on also. Which one 1 2 3? can you please elaborate on the co?how to set it? as I’m new to AMD. thanks mike i
